Dr. Pienkowski, M.D., P.h.D.
Founded his medical practice in East Tennessee in 1984. In the prior decade, Dr. Pienkowski honed his research and clinical interests in distinguished institutions such as The Wistar Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, Henry Ford Hospital, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. When Dr. Pienkowski became ready to set out on his own, he was motivated to practice medicine where people needed him and his colleagues the most.
Dr. Larry Smith, M.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Larry Smith was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, where he attended public schools. He is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology. He earned his Bachelor of Sciences at Georgia Southern University and his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his Residency in Pediatrics at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Following his Residency, Dr. Smith served as the Chief of Pediatrics at the US Naval Hospital in Cherry Point, North Carolina, and later served the Brunswick, Georgia community in private practice for thirty years. Dr. Smith has contributed to the advancement of medicine through several publications, as well as clinical research projects.
Dr. Smith is a proud husband, father of two, and grandfather of three. His hobbies include flying, distance running, and amateur radio.
Sarah Belcher, FNP-Allergy
Sarah has worked alongside Dr. Pienkowski for seven years and has extensive experience in the field of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. You will find Sarah working at our Clinics in the Tri-Cities.
Lori Middleton, FNP
Lori earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is board-certified family nurse practitioner. Before taking a position at Pienkowski, M.D., Clinic, she worked as registered nurse on an ortho/trauma medical surgical unit at UT Medical Center for 5 years and as a nurse practitioner in the pediatric primary care setting for more than 4 years. Lori was born and raised in the Volunteer State, and in her free time with family, she enjoys traveling, camping, and being outdoors. Most of all, she loves spending time with family, especially her husband and two children.
